Old Bar Public School NAIDOC Film 2020

In celebration of NAIDOC 2020, Old Bar Public School has created a montage celebrating the identity of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in 2020 – their individuality, their passions and their places – while simultaneously acknowledging the deep cultural significance and history of this land that they live, play and learn on.

We asked our Indigenous students to tell us all about who they are and their favourite places and things to do in our area. With this feedback from our students, our Stage 3 Aboriginal students and school leaders embarked on a road trip around the area, rich in both natural beauty and cultural significance. We visited all of their favourite places, acknowledging and paying respect to the traditional owners of the land – the Biripi People.

Always was, always will be Biripi Country.
